Craif will show miSignal, the miAge aging test and the Oyster Lab OS laboratory system in Yokohama, October 7 to 9, 2026
YOKOHAMA, JAPAN, September 30, 2026 - Craif Inc., a bio-AI company developing a urine analysis platform for early detection of cancer and other diseases, will exhibit in the Cabinet Office of Japan's startup booth at BioJapan 2026, held October 7 to 9, 2026 at PACIFICO Yokohama.
On Friday, October 9, Craif COO Mika Mizunuma will speak in a seminar titled "The Future of Pre-Disease Health and a Super-Aged Society Opened Up by Healthcare Deep Tech: Japanese and International Startups Taking On Diagnostics, Drug Discovery and Digital Biomarkers."
What Craif will show
Craif uses its proprietary platform to analyze urinary microRNA to enable the prevention and early detection of cancer and other diseases. At the exhibit and in the seminar, the company will present its work on next-generation healthcare for pre-disease health and a super-aged society.
At the Cabinet Office startup booth, Craif plans to present and exhibit miSignal, its at-home cancer risk test; miAge, a test launched on September 17, 2026, that visualizes aging at the molecular level; and Oyster Lab OS, its next-generation laboratory system.

Session details
Craif Chief Operating Officer Mika Mizunuma will speak at BioJapan 2026 on Friday, Oct. 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. JST in Room G302 at PACIFICO Yokohama. Her talk, "Bio-AI Accelerating Alongside Real-World Deployment: Data-Driven R&D for Pre-Disease Health and a Super-Aged Society," is part of a session on how healthcare deep tech is shifting medicine from treating illness to detecting early signs of risk and changing behavior before disease takes hold. Moderated by Tsuyoshi Sekitani, professor at Osaka University's Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (SANKEN), the session brings together startups from Japan and abroad and leaders in European healthcare innovation to discuss early cancer risk detection, RNA-targeted drug discovery and digital biomarkers from technology, business, policy and global-expansion perspectives. Mizunuma will be joined by Shunichi Kashida, founder, chairman and CBO of xFOREST Therapeutics; Tina Sampath, CEO of Cumulus Neuroscience; Dr. Zahid Latif, vice president of global innovation at Shionogi B.V.; and Dr. Maria Koufali, life sciences industry director at the U.K.'s National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). Admission is free, but advance registration is required at https://biojapan2026.jcdbizmatch.jp/Lookup/jp/Seminar/u0?ke=Craif&np=2&ob=5.
About BioJapan 2026
BioJapan was first held in 1986, and its organizers describe it as the longest-running biotechnology-focused event of its kind. Biotechnology applications extend beyond drug discovery, personalized medicine, regenerative medicine, diagnostics and medical devices, and research instruments and reagents, and in recent years are also expected in manufacturing, energy and functional foods. Through exhibitions, seminars and a partnering program, the event aims to accelerate open innovation in the bio industry.
About Craif
Craif is a bio-AI company founded in 2018 that develops non-invasive tests for the early detection of cancer. Its platform combines proprietary biomarker detection from urine and other bodily fluids with AI to assess disease risk. Building on one of the world's largest urine datasets, Craif aims to create a urine analysis platform that detects a wide range of diseases early, with cancer as the first step. The company is based in Tokyo and operates a wholly owned laboratory in San Diego, opened in 2026. Learn more at craif.com.
